Überraschung, Überzeichnung und Nonsens sind laut Eigenaussage die Ingredienzen der Musik von Tele Flûff (auf dt. in etwa ferne Fussel). Das Wiener Duo hat offensichtlich und akustisch deutlich vernehmbar Spaß am Experimentieren. Ihre Genese: Wir haben einfach angefangen und herumprobiert… Natürlich gibt es musikalische Einflüsse, vor allem die Leidenschaft zu Strömungen aus den 1960er und 1970er Jahren. So wird zuerst zu zweit gejammt mit Schlagzeug und Bass. Danach werden die besten Grooves herausgefiltert, alle Instrumentalparts selbst eingespielt und zusammengewürfelt. Zusammengehalten wird das Ganze vom charakteristischen Sound eines analogen Moog-Synthesizers. Dabei spiegelt die Musik von Tele Flûff das alltägliche Chaos ihrer eigenen Biographien. Fragmente, Assoziationen, Momente aus dem Alltag, die entweder als zu kurz empfunden oder überhaupt noch gar nicht richtig verarbeitet wurden, werden zu einem musikalischen Mosaik zusammengefügt, zu einer Collage collatéral, wie es die Band selbst formuliert, einer mehr oder weniger zufälligen Klangcollage entlang der Achsen Trash/Treasure, Seriosität/Dilettantismus, Pop/Muzak.

The Viennese duo Tele Flûff likes the weird and out there. Surprise and nonsense are, according to them, at the heart of their music. That’s not to say they do not have influences, especially the music of the 1960s and 1970s. That’s also why they like to start their song writing process with a jam session, just the two of them, drums and bass. They filter the best grooves, record all instrumentals, cut them up and piece them back together. The characteristic sound of a Moog synthesizer is the only common thread that runs through all their songs. Tele Flûff’s music mirrors the chaos of their biographies: fragments and moments of everyday life are turned into mosaics in music, collage collatéral as the band itself calls it, a more or less accidental sound collage along the axes trash/treasure, professionalism/dilettantism, pop/muzak.
